The story behind it
Blue Moon Brewing Company was founded by head brewer Keith Villa in 1995 within Denver's Coors Field stadium brewery. Villa wanted to craft a unique Belgian-style wheat ale that would appeal to American palates, which eventually grew into one of the most successful craft-style brands in the world.
First crafted in 1995 at the SandLot Brewery in Denver, Colorado, Blue Moon Belgian White was originally named Bellyslide Belgian White. Head brewer Keith Villa brought Belgian-style brewing back to America, utilizing unique spices like coriander and orange peel in the brewhouse.
