The story behind it
Founded in 1880 by Luigi Bigi, the historic house of Bigi originally established itself in Orvieto inside a former monastery. Over the decades, it has become one of the region's most prominent producers, championing the unique terroir of Umbrian white wines.
Deep in the heart of Umbria, the Bigi winery & vineyard has crafted traditional Orvieto wines since its founding. The grapes are grown in tuffaceous clay soils, which impart a signature mineral complexity and vibrant acidity to the wine.
