The story behind it
Founded in 1876 by brothers Jacob and Frederick Beringer in Saint Helena, California, Beringer Vineyards holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously operating winery in Napa Valley. The historic estate is celebrated for pioneering gravitational winemaking techniques and was among the first to offer public winery tours.
Beringer was one of the first wineries to recognize the potential of the Knights Valley AVA in Sonoma County, planting vineyards there in the 1960s.
