Tequila Ocho was created in 2008 through a collaboration between the late Tomas Estes, the official Tequila Ambassador to Europe, and the legendary Camarena family, third-generation distillers. Their mission was to demonstrate that terroir exists in agave, just as it does in fine wine, revolutionizing how the spirit is appreciated.
Crafted at the Destilería La Alteña, Tequila Ocho is renowned for its pioneering single-estate concept, where every vintage is harvested from a single named field. The pinas are slowly cooked in traditional brick ovens and fermented in open wooden vats prior to copper pot distillation.
