Founded in Moscow by Pyotr Arsenievich Smirnov in 1864, the brand pioneered charcoal filtration to create an exceptionally smooth vodka. After fleeing the Russian Revolution, the family re-established the brand in Europe and eventually North America, where it grew to become a global spirits icon.
Smirnoff Blue is produced using a traditional triple-distillation process in column stills followed by an intensive filtration method. The spirit is filtered ten times through unique hardwood charcoal to achieve its signature clarity and high-proof strength.
