Lunazul was founded by Francisco Beckmann, a descendant of the legendary Jose Cuervo family, who set out to create a high-quality, estate-grown tequila that was accessible to everyone. Established in 2004, the brand continues to operate with a focus on estate-grown agave and independent family heritage.
Lunazul is produced at the Tierra de Agaves distillery in Tequila, Jalisco, utilizing estate-grown blue Weber agave. The distillery employs a combination of traditional and modern methods, cooking agave in autoclaves before crushing to extract the pure juices.
