The Mitchell family started their Dublin merchant business in 1805, bonding and maturing whiskey under the streets of Dublin using marked paint spots to denote age. Gold Spot is produced at the historic Midleton Distillery for Mitchell & Son, a legendary family of wine merchants based in Dublin. This special edition 9-year-old release commemorates the colored spot bottling tradition, utilizing an innovative maturation cask program.
