Founded in 2005 by Joe Sporko in Madison, North Carolina, Piedmont Distillers introduced Midnight Moon to celebrate the rich tradition of backwoods distilling. By using multi-distilled corn spirit and real whole fruit, they elevated moonshine from a hidden bootleg craft into a respected, high-quality commercial spirit.
Piedmont Distillers operates as North Carolina's first legal distillery since Prohibition, preserving authentic Southern moonshine techniques. The recipe is inspired by legendary bootlegger and NASCAR Hall of Famer Junior Johnson.
