Founded by Guillermo Erickson Sauza in 2005, Tequila Fortaleza was created to revive the traditional, artisanal methods of his family's historic distilling legacy. Utilizing the original family distillery built in the late 19th century, the brand showcases old-world techniques that have remained unchanged for generations.
Produced using 100% stone-crushed blue agave at the historic Destileria La Fortaleza in Tequila, Jalisco. The cooked piñas are crushed using a traditional tahona stone before being fermented in open wooden vats and double-distilled in copper pots.
