Lunazul was founded by Francisco Beckmann, a eighth-generation descendant of the historic Jose Cuervo family, with the vision of creating an exceptional 100% agave tequila at an approachable price. His state-of-the-art distillery, Tierra de Agaves, opened in 2002 to control the entire process from estate fields to bottle.
Lunazul is estate-grown and distilled at Tierra de Agaves in Tequila, Jalisco, utilizing traditional brick ovens and custom copper pot stills. Under the supervision of master distillers, the spirit is produced to highlight the natural purity of the valley agave.
