According to legend, Chambord was inspired by a raspberry liqueur presented to King Louis XIV during his visit to the Chateau de Chambord in 1685. The modern brand was established to capture this classic French royal heritage using local estate-macerated fruits.
Chambord is produced at the historic La Sistiere chateau in Cour-Cheverny, in the Loire Valley. Its production method involves a multi-step maceration of whole fresh raspberries and blackberries followed by blending with fine French cognac.
