Founded in 1765 by Irish military officer Richard Hennessy, the maison of Hennessy has pioneered the art of Cognac making for over two and a half centuries in Cognac, France. Hennessy created the very first V.S.O.P. (Very Superior Old Pale) designation in 1817 at the special request of the future King George IV of Great Britain.
Crafted from select eaux-de-vie sourced from the Cognac region's premier crus, this legendary blend is aged in handcrafted French limousine oak casks. The traditional double-distillation in copper Charentais pot stills yields an exceptionally smooth spirit of timeless character.
