Founded in 1846 by John Dewar in Perth, Scotland, the brand grew from a small wine and spirits merchant into a global empire under his sons, John Alexander and Tommy Dewar. Tommy's creative marketing and the building of the Aberfeldy Distillery in 1898 cemented Dewar's as one of the world's most famous blended Scotch whiskies.
The heart of Dewar's is Aberfeldy single malt, a honeyed Highland whisky crafted using water from the Pitilie Burn. This historic blend has been double-aged in oak casks for extra smoothness, a signature process pioneered by the distillery.
