Founded in 1846 by John Dewar, the brand grew from a small wine and spirits merchant in Perth, Scotland, into a global Scotch powerhouse. Along with his sons, John Alexander and Tommy, the family pioneered the art of blending and became one of the first brands to bottle and distribute Scotch whisky worldwide.
Dewar's is crafted using a unique double aging process, returning the blended Scotch to oak casks for an extra six months of maturation. This technique is overseen at the Aberfeldy distillery, the spiritual home of the brand, utilizing pure water from the Pitilie Burn.
